Introducing the New August Family

Sep 18, 2017

Your front door just got smarter. How’s that you ask? With the help of our next generation of smart home products – August Smart Lock Pro + Connect, August Smart Lock and August Doorbell Cam Pro. The new Smart Locks now include DoorSense™ – the first intelligent, integrated sensor that knows if your door is open or closed.

August Smart Lock Pro + Connect

Now bundled with the August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, the Smart Lock Pro supports Wi-Fi, HomeKit, Bluetooth and Z-Wave Plus, to integrate directly with security systems and smart hubs like Samsung SmartThings, right out of the box. Many people leave home thinking their door is securely closed and locked, when in reality, the door may actually still be slightly open with the deadbolt not properly engaged. With DoorSense, you’ll have peace of mind in knowing your door is both closed and locked. If you happen to accidentally leave the door open in the morning, running late for work, you’ll get alerted through the August app.August’s proprietary DoorSense technology also powers the next generation of Auto-Lock. Earlier August Smart Locks can be set to automatically lock after a set time. With DoorSense, your August Smart Lock now includes Instant Auto-Lock and can be set to instantly lock when the door is closed. This eliminates the vulnerability of forgetting to lock the door when entering or exiting your home. August Smart Lock Pro also includes Active Monitoring, a new Beta service that sends smarter alerts about the things that are most important to you through the August app. This includes alerts for any activity at your door including a new DoorSense alert. New smarter alerts are set to be added in the coming months. For example, you’ll be able to set alerts for specific activities like scheduling a timeframe when your kids are supposed to arrive from school and getting a notification when they get home. Or know when your house cleaner or maintenance technician enters and leaves your home.

August Smart Lock

Complete with an all-new, more compact industrial design the new August Smart Lock includes all of the best features of previous generation August Smart Locks for just $149. The August Smart Lock is a great introduction to the benefits of smart home technology with the look and style of a more traditional lock. The August Smart Lock also includes DoorSense so you always know your door is securely closed and locked.

August Doorbell Cam Pro

TheAugust Doorbell Cam Pro notifies you when anyone rings the doorbell or when motion is detected. You’re able to see and speak to visitors at your front door through the August app, even when you’re not home. The new version features a built-in floodlight for color night-time video, which can be motion triggered to scare away uninvited guests. The August Doorbell Cam Pro introduces HindSight™ – a new feature which makes recordings more meaningful by showing you what’s going on before motion was detected so you don’t miss a second of anything that happens. Installing the new Doorbell Cam Pro is also easier than ever with a USB dock for setup and a new bracket that makes wiring and mounting a snap.

Pricing & Availability

August Smart Lock Pro + Connect, is available now for $279, and August Smart Lock is available for $149. August Doorbell Cam Pro is available for pre-order at $199 and will begin shipping October 10th.Learn more and decide which products are right for you on the August website.
