# August Celebrates 1 Million User Milestone
Jul 17, 2018
Today is a special day for August — we’ve officially hit the one million user mark for our smart locks and doorbell cams. That means one million people are enjoying the control, convenience, and security that our products deliver. No more fumbling for keys as you arrive — thanks to Auto Unlock. No more rushing home to meet your dog walker/significant other/mom — thanks to remote access and virtual keys. No more stressful key handoffs for house guests, fear of having a key copied or stolen, or missing a package delivery — all thanks to the August mobile app.At August, we strive to create smart products with a beautiful design and an intuitive user experience. We go to great lengths to help our customers keep the bad guys out and let the good guys in. Total control. Total visibility. A smarter front door. From the unveiling of our first smart lock in 2013 to the introduction of more advanced solutions such as the Doorbell Cam in 2015 to being the first smart lock to support unlocking with a voice command using Alexa-enabled devices in 2017 — we have led the market. In 2018, we continue to extend our smart home integrations with the widest array of ecosystems, including voice assistants (Apple HomeKit/Siri, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa), security systems (Alarm.com, SimpliSafe, Xfinity Home) and smart hosting platforms (Airbnb, HomeAway). We appreciate your continued support, and look forward to serving millions more!
